Centre recruiting holiday hosts for international students

With the holidays just around the corner, the International Student Centre’s Host for the Holidays program is looking for new and returning participants — both hosts and students.

The program matches international students from various countries with local families willing to open their homes for dinner. Participants can choose from the following three dates: Dec. 24, 25, or 26.

The program enables international students who may not be able to go home for the holidays to experience Canadian traditions. Families will have the chance to learn about new cultures, discover traditions around the world, and develop international friendships.

Hosts are not required to prepare or plan in any way different than they usually would. The International Student Centre will match hosts with international students to ensure the best fit.

Applications for prospective hosts and guest are available on the program website: www.uwindsor.ca/isc/host. The deadline to apply is Dec. 3.
