The 2012 documentary Stories We Tell will open “Women in the Director’s Chair,” a Windsor Film Society screening series showcasing the works of female filmmakers, on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Green Bean Café.
The feature was written and directed by Sarah Polley and explores her family’s secrets — including one intimately related to her own identity. The Toronto International Film Festival listed it among its top 10 Canadian films of all time.
The screening is set for 7:30 p.m. in the café, located at 2320 Wyandotte Street West. Learn more on the Facebook event page.
The series continues Feb. 26 with horror drama The Babadook by Jennifer Kent and March 26 with Greta Gerwig’s coming-of-age comedy Lady Bird.
