Alumni Association celebrates volunteerism with inspiring guest speaker

More than 75 volunteers gathered at the Freed Orman Centre on Thursday, March 28, for the Alumni Association Volunteer Appreciation Celebration.

In anticipation of Volunteer Canada’s National Volunteer Week, the association welcomed recognition expert and professional speaker Sarah McVanel, whose keynote speech left guests inspired to leverage their own greatness for impact on campus and in the community.

This was the first volunteer recognition event held by the Alumni Association, who looked to show appreciation to the many alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends who dedicate their time to the University.

From its Board of Directors to event support, the Alumni Association offers a variety of volunteer opportunities on campus and in the community. The association will be seeking volunteers to help at the diploma framing booth at the 2019 Spring Convocation.
