Recruiters taking their show on the road

Like Willie Nelson, UWindsor recruiters can’t wait to get on the road again. The team will take its Explore UWindsor Tour to five communities across Ontario, from Nov. 26 to Dec. 4.

Receptions in Markham, Mississauga, Kitchener, London, and Chatham will provide an opportunity for future Lancers and their families to learn why the University of Windsor is the right choice for an exceptional academic and student experience.

With the Jan. 15 application deadline for Ontario secondary school students rapidly approaching, school presentations and fairs are wrapping up, says Beth Natale, director of student recruitment.

“Prospective students are in decision-making mode,” she says. “They’ve attended the Ontario Universities’ Fair, met recruiters at their schools, taken campus tours and attended open houses. They are evaluating their options.”

Student recruitment officers Radha Patel and Sheri Lowrie will co-host each event on the tour, providing information on academic and awards programs, campus residences, finances, student life, safety, and the admissions process.

“They look forward to sharing the many ways we are Windsor Proud, and inspiring guests to place the University of Windsor at the top of their applications for post-secondary study,” says Natale.

Each reception will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Those in attendance will automatically be entered for a chance to win free fall semester tuition. Register in advance at uwindsor.ca.
