Student happily attending seminarLive webinars will discuss the University’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic with future students, both domestic and international.

Webinars to answer future students’ questions on COVID-19

Applying to university and preparing for the transition to post-secondary education can be stressful enough without the added concerns posed by a global pandemic, says Chris Busch, UWindsor associate vice-president, enrolment management.

That’s why he, along with a team from Student Recruitment and the Office of the Registrar, is conducting weekly webinars to discuss the University’s response with future students, both domestic and international.

“Our future students are experiencing a significant amount of anxiety as a result of the COVID-19 situation, including closure of Ontario’s publicly funded schools until May 4 and cancellation of examinations,” says Busch.

“These online webinars gives us a chance to share information and address their specific questions, plus provide an opportunity to promote our virtual services — including virtual coffee with a recruiter, our virtual tour, and the resources available specifically for applicants through our Future Students website and ask.uwindsor.ca.”

This week’s webinars are:

  • Tuesday, April 7, at 3 p.m. EDT for domestic applicants, and
  • Wednesday, April 8, at 7 a.m. EDT for international applicants.
