U Sports has named three members of the Lancer football team to the roster of the East-West Bowl, a showcase for top prospects in advance of the Canadian Football League draft:

• Offensive lineman Ibrahim Hassoun, a third-year business major, played in seven games in 2019 and is an academic all-Canadian.
• Wide receiver Matthew James is a fourth-year criminology student who made 23 catches for 354 yards and three touchdowns in 2019.
• Defensive lineman Zack Susko, a third-year business student, made eight tackles in as many games in his sophomore season.

“I am proud that these three student-athletes have been named to the East-West Bowl roster,” says Lancer football head coach Jean-Paul Circelli. “With all the adversity that the pandemic had brought upon their university experience, it was important that Matt, Zack and Ibrahim were recognized for their talent and ability.”
