Seminars to provide education on addiction and substance abuse

Twice-weekly webinars will provide awareness and resources surrounding prominent issues in mental health and addiction.

The virtual recovery program is aimed at students struggling with substance abuse. It is presented by the Liberty Project of Enactus Windsor and the House of Sophrosyne and will cover topics such as pre-treatment and treatment for substance use, relapse prevention, trauma-informed care, coping strategies, safer substance use, and other life challenges.

“These sessions are a chance for us to come together and learn about mental health,” says Enactus executive member Nikola Kolobaric.

He cautions they are not a personal counselling space, but notes they do offer a safe private platform to assess needs and provide suitable interventions.

The webinars run Fridays and Sundays at 6 p.m. on the Ontario Telemedicine Platform. Register here to receive the link.
