Man holding sign that reads "I won't stand by"The last Bystander Workshop of the fall semester is Wednesday, Dec. 8.

Last chance to register for Bystander Initiative fall semester training

UWindsor students hoping to attend a Bystander Workshop are encouraged to register soon, as there are only three remaining this term, with the last workshop set for tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m.

The Bystander Initiative aims to engage campus members as key stakeholders in the prevention of sexual violence, equipping them with skills to identify and safely intervene in a range of harmful situations, and build empathy for survivors of sexual assault.

Attending a workshop is a great way to engage in positive social change on our campus, to build safe and effective intervention skills, and to become educated about sexual and gender-based violence. Participating students will receive a Certificate of Completion to add to their resumés or curricula vitae. Students enrolled in integrated undergraduate courses are also eligible for bonus marks.

For additional questions or concerns, email program co-ordinator Frances Cachon at bystander@uwindsor.ca.
