Rights advocate to address women’s day gala

Beverly Jacobs, senior advisor to the president on Indigenous relations and outreach, is the keynote speaker at an event celebrating International Women’s Day on Tuesday, March 8.

Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. will broadcast its gala over Zoom, with a networking portion at 5:30 p.m. and the formal program at 6 p.m.

“International Women’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate and to honour all women,” says Dr. Jacobs. “I am honoured to be a guest and keynote speaker at the WEST International Women’s Day virtual gala. The focus of my presentation is to provide words of encouragement and empowerment during these difficult times living within a pandemic.”

The event will also feature the presentation of Journey to Success Awards, honouring inspirational women and supporters in Windsor-Essex County.

Tickets for the gala are $25, available on WEST’s website. Guests will receive a link prior to the event.
