Matthew Krause, an associate professor of kinesiology, has accepted appointment as chair of the University of Windsor’s Research Safety Committee effective July 1, the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, announced.
“I am delighted to have Dr. Krause serve as chair of the Research Safety Committee,” said vice-president, research and innovation, K.W. Michael Siu. “I am confident that Dr. Krause’s knowledge and experience will be a significant asset to our research community.”
Krause will succeed Ken Drouillard, who has served as the committee’s chair since 2019.
Dr. Siu praised Dr. Drouillard’s contributions as instrumental in in helping to navigate the challenges of COVID-19.
“On behalf of our research community, I would like to thank Dr. Drouillard for his outstanding leadership and the tremendous dedication that he has demonstrated towards safeguarding the health and safety of our faculty, student, and staff researchers and community stakeholders throughout the pandemic,” Siu said.
