Tasting to help launch campus community cookbook

The launch of a cookbook on Thursday, Sept. 22, promises samples of dishes created using recipes submitted by members of the campus community.

The book is a collection of recipes from faculty, students, staff, and alumni. A project of the Orange Shirt Day planning committee, it is offered for sale as a fundraiser in support of activities on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Sponsored by the Office of the Associate Vice-President, External, copies cost $30 each.

Thursday’s launch will run 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Turtle Island Walk and promises attendees a chance to sample tastes of several of the recipes. The event is a collaboration between the Turtle Island Aboriginal Education Centre and the UWindsor Circle K International club, a program of Kiwanis International.
