Workshops to support graduate and teaching assistants in instructional duties

Workshops this week and next from the GATA Network will equip graduate and teaching assistants with resources to enrich their performance as instructors.

“Pulling Together – A Guide for Teaching Assistants and Advisors” will explore the relationships between teaching assistants, advisors, and Indigenous students. Facilitated by Jaimie Kechego, it runs 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 11, in room 3102, Medical Education Building.

“Effective Feedback and Grading” will introduce participants to strategies to help craft constructive, meaningful feedback aimed at helping students to improve. Led by Samantha Monk and Jake Ouellette, it runs 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, in room 3102, Medical Education Building.
