The Toldo Lancer Centre will host a showcase of champions Saturday, May 10, when teams and individuals from Lakeshore Cheer Athletics demonstrate their award-winning form.

“Our year-end showcase will show family, friends, and supporters our amazing teams and their routines,” says head coach Monique Myre.

The gym boasts both competitive and recreational programs.

Four of its prep teams took top honours in their categories at the Florida Finals competition in Kissimmee on April 26 and 27, with members receiving jackets as national champions.

At America’s Rock-N-Roller Coaster Cheer & Dance Championships, May 3 at Cedar Point, the gym’s three novice teams all placed first and the recreational team received the highest rating: Superior.

“A highlight was that our youth Blue Waves team won a high point award,” Myre says.

Saturday’s show will feature performances by nine teams as well as some individual and duo routines. The doors open at 11 a.m. with the action starting at noon. Admission is $15, with a child rate of $5.

“We hope the community comes out to see these kids in action!” says Myre.
