Graduate students explain their research for glory and cash prizes in the Three Minute Thesis competition.
Registration opens today—Monday, February 24—for the Three Minute Thesis competition, which challenges UWindsor graduate students to offer a presentation on their thesis or dissertation topic to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes.
Organizers call the Three Minute Thesis competition a unique opportunity to promote the innovative research undertaken by graduate students at the University of Windsor. The heats and the final are open to the public; audience members will select a People’s Choice award winner in the final.
The top two finishers in each heat March 24, 25 and 26 will compete in the final round March 31. The winner and runner-up will go on to represent the University of Windsor at the provincial competition, to be held at McMaster University on April 24.
Presentation spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Find details, including competition rules and online registration, on the Faculty of Graduate Studies website.
