Choral concert to fill chapel with soaring voices

This weekend the Windsor Classic Chorale and Windsor Symphony Orchestra Chorus will perform a joint concert at Assumption University Chapel. Accompanied by the Windsor Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Joel Tranquilla, this promises to be a choral concert filled with soaring melodies and harmonies.

The repertoire includes several best-loved works including Maurice Fauré’s Requiem, Finlandia by Jean Sibelius, Five Mystical Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Edvard Grieg’s masterpiece Four Psalms. The chorus and chorale will be joined by soloists soprano Mari Voelker and baritone Matthew Pauls.

Performances are on Saturday, May 4, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 5, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and are available in advance at the WSO Box Office, 519-973-1238 ext. 2, and from members of the chorus and chorale. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.
