Concurrent Bachelor of Education

Earn two degrees at once! These intensive programs are designed for students who wish to pursue a BA (General) or BSc (General) in one of our Concurrent Program Stream options, while concurrently studying education and gaining experiential learning in school settings. 

Specialization Options:

Duration: five (5) years of full-time studies

Program Aim:

To prepare graduates for a professional career in education by equipping them with the with the knowledge and skills necessary to become confident and effective teachers. The program emphasizes critical thinking, reflective practice, and the integration of theory and practice in diverse educational settings, preparing them to meet the evolving needs of learners.

Primary/Junior Division (JK - Grade 6) certification streams:

  • Modern Languages with Second Language Education / Concurrent Education
  • Psychology / Concurrent Education / Early Childhood Education (ECE)

  • Communication, Media and Film / Concurrent Education

Education Icon Already have a degree(s)? Apply to the two-year Consecutive Bachelor of Education program!

Professional Designation: Upon successful completion of the requirements for teacher certification in Ontario, a recommendation will be made by the Dean of the Faculty of Education to the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) indicating eligibility for the Ontario Certificate of Qualification.
