Local Philanthropists Honoured with National Philanthropy Day Awards
Some of the most philanthropic individuals and groups from Windsor-Essex were honoured at the Association of Fundraising Professionals on Thursday November 20 2014 in the Augustus Ballroom at Caesar's Windsor.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals' (AFP) annual award program recognizes outstanding achievements by individual, foundation and corporate philanthropists and fundraising volunteers.
Held annually worldwide, National Philanthropy Day is a nationally-recognized day in Canada and has been for 28 years. To celebrate this important day, the AFP-Canada South Chapter, and other AFP Chapters worldwide, annually host a National Philanthrophy Day Awards Ceremony in an effort to publically pay tribute to the many contributions that philanthropy - and the individuals who are active in the philanthropic communicty - have made to our lives, our communities and our world.
This year, our very own Carol Reader was honoured with the Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer Award! Congratulations Carol!!
