As a Fusion Faculty Vanguard, you can champion a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within your Faculty, helping students and colleagues turn ideas into action. By building a community where we help each other grow, we can create an impact that reaches far beyond campus, shaping the future of Windsor-Essex and Canada.
Become a Fusion Faculty Vanguard
Faculty Vanguards are an internal network of faculty and staff who champion Fusion within their respective Faculties, while building connections across the University of Windsor. “Faculty” represents the academic Faculty they help engage; both professors and staff are welcome.
As a Vanguard, you will help shape Fusion, the University of Windsor’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Network, and encourage colleagues and students to translate ideas into impact. Together, we aim to create a supportive community where people share experience, develop confidence, and help each other take the next step.
Who can be a Vanguard?
All University of Windsor faculty and staff are welcome, across disciplines, departments, and units. You do not need a business idea or entrepreneurship experience. Bring your enthusiasm, your willingness to support others, and a readiness to help turn ideas into action.
What is the commitment?
The first-year commitment is intentionally modest:
- Participate in one or two Fusion activities or meetings during the year.
- Share Fusion programs and opportunities within your Faculty, department, or unit, and encourage participation.
- Bring forward ideas and interests from your colleagues to help shape the network.
There will also be opportunities to mentor, share expertise, and connect people according to your interests and availability.

Your encouragement, experience, or introduction could help someone take a step they would not have taken alone. As a Vanguard, you will connect with supportive colleagues across Faculties, receive early information about Fusion opportunities, and help build an innovation ecosystem rooted in people helping one another grow.
