- The Graduate Diploma (GDip) in University Teaching (Type II) is an in-depth program that integrates theory with practice to foster excellent teaching. Students explore the scholarly literature on effective teaching, draw on theoretical principles and apply them in practice, and develop as effective and reflective educators.

By completing the program, participants learn how to design effective courses, engage students in the classroom in a variety of ways, develop and articulate a teaching identity, and draw on the scholarly literature to evaluate their practice for continuous improvement.

There is no additional tuition cost associated with the Graduate Diploma in University Teaching.

*Students can only apply to the Graduate Diploma in University Teaching after acceptance into a Master’s or PhD program at the University of Windsor; and must be actively enrolled, and in good standing, in a Master’s or PhD program while undertaking the requirements of the Graduate Diploma.
Program Specific Admission Requirements
Graduate students registered in any University of Windsor graduate program, and in good academic standing, are welcome to apply. Past teaching experiences or specific pre-requisites are not required. Preference will be given to students who are required to complete the GDiP in University Teaching as a component of their primary degree or who are enrolled in UWindsor PhD programsDeadline for Fall: June 1.
