Chemistry and Biochemistry Scholarships

William A. Redmond Memorial Bursary

Awarded annually on the basis of academic achievement to a student beginning a graduate program in Chemistry or Biochemistry on the basis of scholastic ability and financial need. Established (1972) in memory of William A. Redmond, who obtained his doctorate in chemistry at the University of Windsor in 1964.  Please contact the Depatment of Chemistry and Biochemistry after November 1st for this award's application and deadline information.
Value: $1,000.

Dennis Tuck Memorial Scholarship in Chemistry

Awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry with an average of at least 90%, to honour the outstanding career of Dr. Dennis Tuck, a distinguished and respected researcher, professor and former department head in Chemistry.
Must be Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident, and show financial need.
Value: $850.

Kevin Couvillon Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a graduate student in Chemistry& Biochemistry who is engaged in cancer research. Preference will be given to students working on natural or non-invasive treatments.

Students must be Canadian/Permanent Residents who have a GPA of at least 80% and must demonstrate financial need. Value: $1,000

Dr. Orval Mamer Graduate Scholarship

The award is to be granted to a graduate student enrolled in any program within the Department of Chemistry. The successful applicants must be Canadian/Permanent Resident/Protected Person in good standing with a cumulative average of 80% and have financial need. Two awards available annually. Value:  $5,000.
