WHO WE ARE
We are a team of engineers, scientists, and sociologists. With 40 researchers across 8 different faculties we are helping to create the future of agriculture through research and working alongside local farmers. Through a multidisciplinary approach we are addressing current issues and innovating sustainable practices for the future.
Agriculture UWindsor aims to improve agriculture at 3 steps: from the initial systems and productions processes, to the growth of produce itself, and finally the outstanding impact it can have on water systems and people, each represented by grey, green, and blue respectively. The University of Windsor is located in the heart of the world's second-largest greenhouse cluster. This area covers 4500 acres of land, provides over 32 000 jobs and contributes to $2.3 billion in Ontarios GDP.
WHO WE ARE
Agriculture UWindsor has established a non-exclusive partnership with Horteca to operationalize a two-acre working and fully integrated greenhouse for research, prototyping, testing, and commercialization activities. Horteca is a joint venture with JEM Farms.

UWindsor has many projects currently in development, in science, engineering, and business sectors alike!
Moreover, the university is always looking for growth opportunities, including expansions in testing, services, partnerships, research, innovation, and opportunities for training and experiential learning.
As agriculture is a cross-functional field, the potential for economic, technological, and educational improvement is massive!
