Dr. Janelle Joseph
Dr. Janelle Joseph is an award-winning Assistant Professor in Critical Studies of Race in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto. She is Founder and Director of the Indigeneity, Diaspora, Equity, and Anti-racism in Sport (IDEAS) Research Lab and author of the text Sport in the Black Atlantic: Cricket Canada and the Caribbean Diaspora.
Dr Joseph’s current research focuses on decolonizing sport studies, and anti-racism activism among Black athletes and educators.

James is currently the Research + Data Analyst for the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association. He previously worked with Freestyle Canada as the Operations Manager of Sport Systems, Canada Sport for Life as a contractor to quantify the Canadian sport system and was a Canadian Delegate at the International Olympic Academy in Greece. James also volunteers with the Disabled Sailing Association of BC and completed his MHK in 2015 with Vicky Paraschak as his advisor.

with Jorden Bagley
Jorden graduated with her MHK in Sport Management in 2017. While completing her Master's she interned with Pacers Sports and Entertainment as the Indiana Fever Community and Player Relations intern. After graduation, she returned to Pacers Sports & Entertainment, working in the Retail Operations department for 7 months, before accepting a Ticket Sales position with the Detroit Tigers. In 2019, Jorden was promoted to Corporate Partnerships Account Executive with both the Tigers and Detroit Red Wings, focusing on sponsorship sales to regional and national clients. At the beginning of 2020, Jorden joined the Detroit Regional Chamber as the Manager, Resource Development for Let's Detroit. She solicits and stewards sponsorship investments, engaging the business community in all things live, work, play in SE Michigan.
