ORCID

Open Researcher and Contributor ID

  • Ensures all your articles are linked to you, regardless of name or institutions changes, and disambiguates any articles from authors with similar names
  • Takes the form of a unique, randomly assigned 16-digit alphanumeric code
  • Persistent personal identifier: stays with you no matter where you go, or what variations of your name you use
  • Can be included in many journals, etc, and added to your submissions to Scholarship at UWindsor
  • Also allows you to create a profile that includes as much or as little information about you/your scholarship as you choose to share
