Brad Bobesich, pianist
Brad Bobesich has been playing the piano since the age of eight. By 13, he was playing the majority of the Mozart sonatas, and with the first of numerous bands, many of ‘Ray Manzarek’s ‘ solos on his father’s Farfisa Continental organ. Upon fulfilling the requirements of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Brad completed fifteen years as the Musical Director of the School of Dance and Theatre Arts in Newmarket.
Bobesich went on to complete a year of jazz performance at Humber College and then furthered his studies at the University of Western Ontario and McMaster University where he received an Honours degree in Music Education with highest distinction. He also studied at the University of Windsor, where he received a Bachelor of Education degree.
Bobesich has toured with New Country recording artists James Owen Bush and Joanne Rose and joined the band ‘Woodrow’ for the recording of their debut CD ‘In Brightness and Beauty’. In addition to his technical ability, Bobesich possesses a keen performance sensibility and through improvisation, arranging and composition has created some impressive original material. Currently, Bobesich continues his twenty third year as a high school music teacher within the York Region and continues to perform as a freelance keyboardist.
Growing up, Windsor always felt like a second home to Bobesich, as both his parents’ families continue to reside here.
