Tanya Basok is a Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Windsor. Her research focuses on migration and human mobility in the Americas, particularly in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Canada. She focuses on border studies, mobility, critical citizenship studies, migrant rights and pro-migrant advocacy, including labour rights and social integration of Mexican farmworkers in Canada.
Tanya Basok will become Professor Emerita on June 1, 2026.
