2023

  • June 2023: The POM Research Lab is participating in the University of Windsor Engineering Research Open House on June 20, 2023.

2022

  • October 31, 2022: Dr. Naved Bakali, from the faculty of education, will be discussing Islamophobia in Canada and around the world through his research findings and published book on Monday, October 31st at 5:00 PM in the CAW Alumni Auditorium. 2020

  • April 7, 2020: Congratulations, Malek Mousa has been awarded an Ontario Graduate Scholarship.
  • April 1, 2020: Congratulations, Saeideh Salimpour has won the A.R. and E.G. Ferris Award.

2019

  • September 13, 2019: The POM Research Lab and Crop Defenders were awarded a two-unit MITACS Accelerate Grant.
  • June 28, 2019: The POM Research now has an Open Science Framework website.
  • April 25, 2019: Congratulations, the POM Research Lab and Contract Glaziers Inc were awarded an NSERC Engage Grant.
  • April 2019: The POM Research Lab is participating in the University of Windsor Engineering Research Open House on April 26, 2019.

2017

  • Congratulations, Saeideh Salimpour won the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship. She is one of two province-wide to receive this scholarship
  • Congratulations, Saeideh Salimpour won the best presentation award for her presentation entitled "A Clustering Sequencing Approach to the Facility Layout Problem" at ICSCLE 2017: 19th International Conference of Supply Chain and Logistics Engineering, Boston, USA in April 2017.

2016

  • Congratulations, Justin Britt won the 3rd Prize for his poster presentation entitled "Stochastic Hierarchical Approach for Master Surgical Scheduling" at IEOM 2016 Detroit conference on 23-25 September 2016.

2015

  • Dr. Azab is attending the 10th American Society of Manufaturing Engineers (ASME) International Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference (MSEC 2015) in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

2014

  • Dr. Azab is serving as part of Organizing committee for: 2nd International Conference & Exhibition on Industrial Engineering during November 16-18, 2014 at Dubai, UAE with the theme "Contemporary Advances and Innovations in Industrial Engineering."
  • Dr. Azab is serving as IIE (Institute of Industrial Engineering) Chapter leader. Maral Zafar Allahyari is also serving as an officer in the chapter.
  • Congratulations, Soumitra Bhale on completion of your MASc Thesis successfully.
  • Congratulations, Nusrat Tarin! Nusrat has won an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS); first round of results was announced today.
  • Dr. Azab has been invited to serve on the board of editors for Industrial Engineering & Management.
