Audit of Quality Assurance Processes

Cyclical audits are a key component of Windsor’s commitment to continuous improvement. The Quality Council, the provincial body responsible for assuring the quality of all programs leading to degrees and graduate diplomas, conducts cyclical audits as part of this responsibility, in alignment with Ontario's Quality Assurance Framework. The goal of the audit is to determine whether each institution, since its last review, has acted in compliance with the provisions of its Quality Assurance Processes. Windsor’s second audit took place in November 2024 and no causes for concern were identified. The Quality Council made four Recommendations, sixteen Suggestions, along with best practices and commendations that will help to improve our processes moving forward.

The detailed findings of the review can be found in the Report on the Quality Assurance Audit of the University of Windsor. Windsor submitted their Response to the Quality Assurance Audit Report in June 2026. The response highlights the current and ongoing efforts to improve understanding and processes relating to quality assurance.
