Dr. Peter Frade
Chair, Department of Fundamental and Applied Sciences
Director, Pathologists' Assistant/ Associate Professor at Wayne State University, Michigan, USA
Dr. Peter D. Frade serves as Department Chair, Associate Professor, and Program Director for both the Pathologists’ Assistant and Post-Bachelor Forensic Investigation programs in the Department of Fundamental and Applied Sciences in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Wayne State University. He received his BS in Chemistry (1968); MS in Chemistry (1971) and Ph. D. in Chemistry (1978) all from Wayne State University. After 28 years as an analytical and clinical toxicologist in the Department of Pathology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, he returned to Wayne State University as a full-time faculty member in 1996. As faculty, Dr. Frade teaches several courses in basic and advanced forensic analysis, thanatochemistry, biochemical basis of pathophysiology, introductory pathology, directed studies, and pharmaceutical toxicology including drug / xenobiotic analysis. His primary area of specialization surrounds hyphenated instrumental techniques as applied to clinical and forensic protocols. He is widely published and serves on several peer review editorial committees as well as a member of editorial boards. He holds memberships and fellow rank in several scientific and honorary scientific societies
Mr. Steve Hubley
Forensic Identification Officer, Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Canada
Steve Hubley was born and raised in Toronto. In 1990, he joined the RCMP and was stationed in "E" Division (British Columbia). Steve and his family spent eight years in BC in two different communities. While with the RCMP, he was exposed to numerous duties, including: General Duty, Highway Patrol and Criminal Detectives Office. In 1998, he moved his family (wife Carol and sons Travis and Tanner) back to Ontario and joined the newly amalgamated Chatham-Kent Police Service. Steve was hired as a First Class Constable and completed two years in the uniform patrol division before transferring to the Forensic Identification Unit in December 2000. Cst. Hubley has attended several courses, conferences and training in the field of Forensics. He has studied at the Ontario Police College, the Canadian Police College and numerous conference locations throughout the country. As a long standing member in the Forensic Identification Unit, Cst. Hubley continues to further his education in this field and provides guidance to officers in the department. With his experience and knowledge regarding Forensics, Steve is currently teaching students at St. Clair College (Thames Campus - Chatham) and University of Windsor. In 2015, having completed twenty-five years in policing, Cst. Hubley looks forward to the future in the advancement of technology in the field of Forensic Sciences.
