July 2026 UNI-COM: (University-Community) Lifelong Learning
Our program continues to enjoy success in providing seniors in our community with many enriching educational experiences. UNI-COM:Lifelong Learning offers its participants the opportunity to enjoy in-person classes, attend Speaker Luncheons, visit interesting places and take trips.
Classes that are enjoyed and well attended continue to be offered in a fall semester starting in September and a winter semester beginning in January.
These classes feature exceptional presenters with a wide variety of interesting topics. The sharing of their knowledge and backgrounds is appreciated by everyone attending the sessions.
Our Speaker Luncheon Series is always popular. Outstanding members of the University of Windsor and the community have spoken to our group. We always enjoy the presentations and one another’s company.
Our first trip since the Architectural Walking Tour of Downtown Detroit was to the Grand Theatre in London to see “Come From Away”. The performance was exceptionally good and we’re hoping to do something similar in the future.
Our new frequent Newsletters and Flyers help keep people informed. Further information is available on our website.
In addition to organizing and carrying out learning programs, UNI-COM: Lifelong Learning continues to support the University of Windsor. We had an active role in the University of Windsor’s efforts to be recognized as an Age Friendly University. We will continue to work with the committee as it plans its future endeavours.
We continue to award four scholarships annually from donations that our group has made to the University’s scholarship program. Our Endowment (Centre for Learning in Retirement: Project of Uni-Com) has a significant balance. Present and future students will be recognized.
The success we enjoy is made possible through the contributions of many people. Our appreciation is extended to the support and efforts of our presenters, class participants, committee members, office assistants and to all the supporters we have at the University of Windsor and in the community. You give us the inspiration and confidence to continue our program into the future.
