About the Centre for Career Education

Mission

The Centre for Career Education contributes to the holistic education of students and complements academic programs of study by supporting a wide range of career-related programs and resources with an emphasis on excellence in learning from experience. We guide students through the career development process including the exploration of personal workplace preferences and strengths, the development of career competencies, and the construction of a career plan.

Career Development Services: Goal Statement

We strive to engage the University of Windsor student community in the career development and exploration process. We assist in the development of employment readiness skills, an understanding of workplace realities, the ability to make informed career choices and the competencies needed to excel in the workplace. We do this by offering experiential learning opportunities, career resources and workplace educational programming.

Co-operative Education: Goal Statement

We strive to support the education of co-op students as it relates to their academic program. We do this by providing a framework for learning through experience, assisting students in the process of securing placements, setting learning outcomes for co-op placements in collaboration with faculty, developing, implementing and assessing educational strategies that lead to those outcomes and by administering program details in a learning centred fashion.
