UWindsor pair to promote Science Rendezvous before national audience

Carrying a torch: Physics professor Steven Rehse and biotechnology student Florida Doci will demonstrate their “fire tornado” experiment tonight on the Discovery Channel program Daily Planet.

Two organizers of this year’s Science Rendezvous will appear tonight – Tuesday, May 8 -- on the Discovery Channel’s Daily Planet to help promote the nationwide May 12 event.

Physics professor Steven Rehse and biotechnology student Florida Doci will demonstrate their “fire tornado” experiment, which is scheduled for display at the CAW Student Centre this Saturday.

The Discovery Channel is available in Windsor as channel 35 on Cogeco cable. Daily Planet airs at 7 p.m. and is repeated at 11 p.m.
