Black History Month Literature Contest

The University of Windsor Alumni Association, in partnership with the Leddy Library will be giving away sets of literature featured in its Black History Month reading list, highlighting 28 books, one each day during the month of February.

The collection will include formal histories, memoirs, collections of poetry, novels, books of visual art, graphic novels, as well as children's and books for young adults. 

 

Black History Month Literature Contest

There will be one winner chosen in the following categories: 

  • Elementary teacher or student with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board
  • Elementary teacher or student with the Greater Essex County District School Board
  • Elementary teacher or student with the Conseil Scholaire Catholique Providence
  • High school teacher or student with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board
  • High School Teacher or student with the Greater Essex County District School Board
  • High School Teacher or student with the Conseil Scholaire Catholique Providence 
  • One alumni winner
  • One UWindsor student winner

Elementary and high school teacher/student winners will be given books for their school library – not a personal prize.

One entry per person. Winners will be randomly chosen once the contest concludes February 28, 2022 and winners selected at the beginning of March. Winners will be notified by the Alumni office.
