Study and Work Abroad Travel Grants

Experience Abroad Travel Grants

The Office of Experiential Learning is offering travel grants to allow students to develop a global perspective. The grants, made available through the Career Ready Experience Abroad Fund (EAF), are designed to support costs associated with student participation in study or work abroad learning opportunities.

The available funds are not expected to cover all expenses that will be incurred by a student participating in these opportunities. The Office of Experiential Learning experience abroad travel grants are available to all University of Windsor Students who are in good standing who will be completing a University of Windsor Study Abroad Course or who will be working abroad (outside of Canada) as part of their University of Windsor Co-operative Education or Internship placement. In order to obtain the funding, students must complete the study/work abroad experience between January 1, 2019 and September 1, 2019. Students who meet the eligibility must also agree to share their learning when they return to campus. This will consist of a brief paragraph submission of how the study/work abroad experience has been transformative, what they earned and how it relates to their studies.

Conditions: Successful applicants will be expected to share how the study/work abroad experience has been transformative, what they learned and how it relates to their studies.

Evaluation Criteria: Students are invited to outline the course they plan to take and/or the cooperative education/internship placement they plan to accept. Please include the location of the study/work abroad and any funding that is available to participate in this learning, i.e. employer paid travel, etc. Lastly in 1-2 sentences, please include what you hope to learn from this experience.
