Help with Technology Tools

Students who need help and support with a tool can be directed to the following resources.  Please note, not all these tools are supported by the University of Windsor, as noted below.

Blackboard:

Blackboard’s Virtual Classroom:

  • Add the student Virtual Classroom tutorial to your Blackboard site and then direct students to it. This video shows you how to add the tutorial to your site: https://youtu.be/7yUmsVZXNGE

Outlook 365 Email:

Microsoft Teams:

Zoom  (Note: Zoom is not a UWindsor supported application):

Google Docs  (Note: Google Docs is not a UWindsor supported application for faculty and staff. As both students and faculty have access to the Microsoft 365 Apps suite, Microsoft 365 is the recommended and supported platform.)

  • For students experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19 and/or are unable to afford the necessary equipment to participate in the online EL activity, direct them to Student Awards and Financial Aid: https://www.uwindsor.ca/studentawards/415/covid-19-updates

  • Students can contact IT Services for help with any of the supported applications.
