Participating in the Volunteer Internship Program has benefitted me in many ways. Not only did it provide me with the resources to be able to help me properly format a resume and cover letter, but it also connected me with a wonderful local non-profit organization. Through the VIP Program I was able to network within various departments at Family Respite Services, which has given me the opportunity to apply for and receive multiple jobs in my field of interest that I would otherwise not have come across. Because of VIP I am now working as a Respite Worker and a Support Worker in a local summer camp, enabling children with disabilities to attend camp.
