Sequencing
Your co-op work semesters will allow you to complete your four-year Honours Degree while gaining the equivalent of one year of career-related work experience. By combining semesters of classroom study with semesters of full-time paid employment in career-related positions, you’ll have the best of both worlds as you apply your formal learning to the workplace, and vice-versa. The typical work-study sequence is as follows:
- YEAR 1:
- Fall: Study
- Winter: Study
- Summer: Off
- YEAR 2:
- Fall: Study (Transform Module 1)
- Winter: Study
- Summer: Work
- YEAR 3:
- Fall: Study
- Winter: Work
- Summer: Study
- YEAR 4:
- Fall: Work
- Winter: Study
- Summer: Study
Academic Requirements:
Direct Admission High School Available through Ontario Universities' Application Centre.
Year 2 Application requirements:
- Year 1 cumulative average of 65%, major average of 70% and no more than one outstanding grade below 50%
Continuation Requirement:
- Maintain a cumulative average of 65%, major average of 70% and no more than one outstanding grade below 50%
How to Apply
Students can apply for the co-op option when applying to the University of Windsor or as a 2nd-year student.
Selecting co-op when applying to the University of Windsor:
- Ontario high school applicants select the co-op degree program on the Ontario University Application Centre form.
- Out of Province Canadian high school applicants select the co-op degree program on the Ontario University Application Centre form.
- College / University Transfer applicants select the co-op degree program on the Ontario University Application Centre form and submit the Co-op Application for Transfer Students form.

Current Students:
Current students not already admitted to the co-op program can apply for co-op in the fall of their 2nd year of study. Students must be full-time, have a minimum major average of 65% and no more than one outstanding F grade on their transcript. Year 2 Applications are available via mySuccess. Select Co-op and follow the instructions provided. The deadline for fall 2020 has passed.

Late Admission Requests:
Applications submitted beyond the fall of 2nd year are accepted on an exception basis only. Instructions and requirements can be found on the Request to be Admitted Late to Co-op form. Please contact us for more information.
