Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Co-op

Earn while you learn and graduate with 12 months of paid, relevant, full-time work experience!

The Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Co-op program helps you put theory into practice and apply what you are learning in the classroom to real-world contexts. You will rotate between the classroom and paid, on-the-job experiences throughout your time at the University of Windsor so you can hit the ground running as soon as your graduate.

Applications are now open for UWindsor FAHSS students interested in applying for one of the co-op programs below, with a Winter 2024 start. Applicants must be in the second term of their first year of study to be eligible. Deadline to apply is January 12, 2024.

To request a program change, students should reach out to their Admissions Officer via email. The Admissions Officer will process the change manually. They can find their assigned Admissions Officer by visiting this link: https://www.uwindsor.ca/registrar/540/contact-us (Admissions Officers are assigned by last name).

When emailing their Admissions Officer, students should mention they are preparing to apply for the new FAHSS co-op program and would like to change their major.

General degrees are not eligible for co-op. However, you can still gain work experience through other options, such as internships, volunteer opportunities, or part-time jobs. You can visit the Career Development & Experiential Learning website to learn more about these options.

Only first year students can apply for our new FAHSS co-op programs. This is because co-op is a degree program, and participating as an upper year student would delay your graduation.

Second, third and fourth year students can still get involved in different ways through the programs offered by Career Development & Experiential Learning, including the Ignite, VIP, and Job Shadow programs. You can visit the Career Development & Experiential Learning website to learn more about these options.
