Two UWindsor music instructors are among the members of an ensemble that will perform in free public concerts this weekend along the county’s waterfront.
The Windsor Symphony Orchestra Woodwind Quintet will feature oboist Faith Scholfield and clarinetist Trevor Pittman of the School of Creative Arts, as well as Jean-François Rompré on flute, Samuel Fraser on bassoon, and Iris Krizmanic on horn.
The orchestra’s summer concert series will take the group to Mettawas Park in Kingsville at 7 p.m. Saturday, August 4, and to King’s Navy Yard Park in Amherstburg at 7 p.m. Sunday, August 5.
The one-hour program will feature tunes from Scott Joplin to film scores and everything in between. Organizers encourage concertgoers to bring lawn chairs, blankets, even a picnic dinner to enjoy beside the water.
