Job proposals for the 2020-21 Ignite Work Study program are due by noon Wednesday, July 22.
Ignite is a co-curricular experiential learning program run by Career Development & Experiential Learning (CDEL) that funds part-time jobs at the University of Windsor.
If approved for funding, supervisors can be reimbursed for a wage subsidy up to $1,000 per semester to hire an eligible student. The program is open to all UWindsor students — some restrictions apply; view the Ignite website for details.
Job proposals must:
- provide an opportunity for a student to apply their skills and knowledge in an authentic work setting with real workplace demands;
- identify at least one competency that can be developed by students that take on the role;
- articulate at least one learning outcome that can be achieved by students that take on the role;
- incorporate direct supervision, mentorship, and feedback by one or more faculty or staff members.
