Orientation session Thursday to welcome new students

An online orientation session will welcome students new to the University of Windsor on Thursday, Aug. 12.

Head Start promises information on some of the major differences between high school and university, ways to get involved on campus, and life as a Lancer. Participants who fill out an assessment form will qualify for a $1,500 tuition draw.

There be lots of other prize opportunities, including an $800 bursary from the Organization of Part-time University Students for part-time undergraduate attendees.

Thursday’s event also promises:

  • a presentation on financial management,
  • a parent, family, and guests,
  • a panel discussion of current students, and
  • a presentation by international students,

as well as chances for incoming students to interact one-on-one with upper-year students, staff, and faculty.

A UWin 102 session will offer information especially aimed at part-time, mature, and transfer students.
