Survey responses to help shape workplace

The University of Windsor’s first-ever Employee Engagement Survey, March 14 to 25, will give faculty and staff an opportunity to share confidential feedback about their experiences working for the institution.

This feedback is critical to understanding the University’s strengths, as well as where it can improve as an employer, says president Robert Gordon.

“The results from this survey will help to identify key actions that the University can take to create a work environment that fosters positive relationships and engagement which are so important to the University’s success,” he says.

The University has engaged the Canadian consultant TalentMap to administer the survey. The survey is voluntary, confidential, and has been cleared by the Research Ethics Board. The University will not have access to individual responses and to protect anonymity, unit-level reports will be issued only if there is a minimum of five responses.

The survey is an opportunity to co-create a work environment where all faculty and staff feel valued, supported, and included. University-wide results will be shared in Spring 2022 and a process will then be initiated to identify key actions that the University can take to improve the identified areas of need that impact the workplace experiences of faculty and staff.
