The CAW Student Centre’s MarketPlace food court will satisfy your south Asian craving Tuesday with a special Indian-themed menu.
The Homestyle station will serve a choice of entrée: tandoori chicken, beef curry, or chickpea and cauliflower stew, with traditional basmati rice or vegetables. The cost is $5.99 for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and $7.99 for dinner from 4 to 7 p.m.

Students, faculty, staff and members of the broader community are invited to attend this event. Refreshments are available at 10 a.m. and the presentation will begin at 10:15.

The Psychology Department Colloquium Series presents Sara L. Weisenbach delivering her free public lecture entitled “Geriatric Depression and its Intersection with Cognitive Aging and Dementia” in room 203, Toldo Health Education Centre, on Thursday, January 12, at 4:30 p.m.
The Educational Development Centre is bringing its workshops across campus in an effort to reach students.
The Skills to Enhance Personal Success (STEPS) program offers 10 different workshops to help students develop the skills needed to succeed at the university. This semester, besides the traditional 50-minute long sessions in Dillon Hall, the program will offer shorter sessions in buildings around campus.

The Centre for Research in Reasoning, Argumentation and Rhetoric is offering two $1500 graduate student fellowships in the winter 2012 semester.
The awards are open to University of Windsor graduate student whose interests and programs of study intersect with the centre’s mandate. Holders are expected to participate in the life of the centre and to make a presentation about their research.

A research communications officer in the University’s Office of Public Affairs and Communications, Fields won a gold medal for excellence in news writing from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s second district, which includes 700 schools in Ontario, New York, Pennsylvania, and the eastern United States.

The organizing committee for the sixth annual Campus Technology Day has set a date of May 17, 2012, for the daylong conference in the CAW Student Centre.
The event brings together faculty, staff, and students to discuss the impact of technology on enhancing learning, teaching, research, and building community.
“We’re currently in the early stages of planning,” says Anna Galka of Information Technology Services. “We are considering themes for the day and beginning the work of recruiting presenters.”
