Call for Instructors Professional Development for Educators Summer 2026 (Music - Vocal)
The Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor is seeking qualified instructors to teach as part of our Continuing Teacher Education Programs. These courses are taught online in an asynchronous format. Summer courses will be offered from June 8, 2026 to August 24, 2026. We are hiring for the following courses:

AQ Music - Vocal, Intermediate and Senior, Part 1

AQ Music - Vocal, Intermediate and Senior, Part 2
-
AQ Music - Vocal, Intermediate and Senior, Specialist
All other positions for the summer 2026 semester have been filled.
Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP)
This appointment is subject to Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.
UWindsor Compliant Devices
Compliance with all University of Windsor information technology and cybersecurity requirements, including the use of university-wide authentication and multi-factor authentication systems, is mandatory. The University of Windsor does not provide AQ instructors with a computer.
AQ Instructors must have a device that is compliant and able to access UWindsor email and Brightspace platforms.
Compensation and Stipend
AQ instructors are paid per student. The stipend is calculated based on the number of students enrolled in all courses per the salary grid attached below. Contact aq@uwindsor.ca if you have questions.
*Please note that Professional Development Course Instructor appointments do not carry University of Windsor sessional seniority credits.
Qualifications
-
Must have a background in Music, preferably in Music-Vocal.

Preference will be given to instructors who are certified members in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and who hold a Bachelor of Education degree.

Appropriate educational qualifications as evidenced by a relevant Ph.D., Master’s Degree, or terminal degree and/or equivalent professional qualifications.

A Graduate and/or terminal degree in the subject area is preferred.

5+ years of relevant experience.

Experience in the teaching field and/or division.

Applicants should possess a proven track record of excellence in teaching within an established professional development program. This would be evidenced by one or more of the following:

Course evaluations from credit and non-credit courses
-
Qualitative student assessments
-
Client testimonials
-
Applicants should have appropriate subject-matter expertise. This may be evidenced by one or more of the following:

Publications (peer-reviewed publications, refereed journals, textbooks)

Work experience
-
Consulting experiences
-
Experience with instructing using the Brightspace Learning Management System or other learning platforms is preferred.

A copy of your CV. Note: Instructors who have previously taught the course for which they are applying must include their most recent CV.
