The University of Windsor’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, in the Faculty Science seeks applications for a limited term teaching intensive faculty position, at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Biochemistry, for a two-year term, commencing as early as April 1, 2026.

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers comprehensive undergraduate and graduate programs of study in chemistry and biochemistry. Essential Qualifications:
Individuals with a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry or a related area with a strong biochemistry and chemistry background, preferably supported by teaching experience, are encouraged to apply. Individuals completing their Ph.D. with also be considered but expected to have completed the Ph.D. prior to the date of April 1st, 2026.The successful candidate will be expected to: i) teach up to eight (8) courses per year in biochemistry, chemistry, and related topics at the graduate and undergraduate levels; and ii) participate in various service roles to support curriculum development, recruitment, and student success.
Compensation:
The 2026-27 salary range for the rank is outlined in Article A Table A.1 of the current Collective Agreement with the Windsor University Faculty Association. The compensation offered to the successful candidate will take into consideration the existing salary structure. A full range of benefits including a pension plan and medical benefits are available to the successful candidate.
