Transfer Students - Programs in FAHSS

Turn your diploma into a degree

If you want to earn your degree at the University of Windsor, you can choose a major (or double major) in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences:  Communication, Media and Film; Creative Arts; Disability Studies, Dramatic Art; English & Creative Writing; Film Production; History; Languages, Literatures & Cultures; Philosophy; Political Science; Psychology; Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology; Social Work; Women’s and Gender Studies; Interdisciplinary Studies; Liberal Arts and Professional Studies. With all these choices, deciding on your courses and your program can be complicated and confusing.

If you have attended an Ontario College, whether you completed a diploma or not, and you got B and A grades, you will almost certainly get transfer credit for one or more of the courses you took.  You can check our Course Equivalency Database to see whether we have already evaluated some of your courses for transfer credit:  www.uwindsor.ca/registrar/uw_transfer_credits

If your courses or your program isn't in our Course Equivalency Database yet, enrol at the University of Windsor, and we'll ask you to send us your course outlines and evaluate your courses for transfer credit.

Look at the College Transfer sheets for St. Clair College students, and whether you were enrolled in these programs or similar programs at St. Clair College or another Ontario College, you can get an idea of the potential number of transfer credits you could receive.

No worries. The FAHSS Office of Academic & Student Success [email]  fahssundergrad@uwindsor.ca  is here to help you at every step of the way from when you transfer to the University of Windsor until you graduate.
