Students are advised to contact their graduate program office for guidance regarding scheduling their final oral defence, as well as to review the Faculty of Graduate Studies guidelines for final oral defences.
Public notice of final oral defences are posted by the department at least eight days in advance of the defence date. To satisfy the public posting requirement, most departments post the defence announcements on their website, or send a mass email with the announcement to faculty and students within the department.
