Students are advised to contact their graduate program office for guidance regarding scheduling their final oral defense, as well as to review the Faculty of Graduate Studies guidelines for final oral defenses.
Public notice of final oral defenses are posted by the department at least eight days in advance of the defense date. To satisfy the public posting requirement, most departments post the defense announcements on their website, or send a mass email with the announcement to faculty and students within the department.
