Head Start is your opportunity to explore campus, connect with your faculty, and get answers to your questions before classes begin in September. Register today and take your first step as a Lancer!

We are excited to be offering Head Start on the following dates in July 2026:

Friday, July 3rd: Science and Education
Friday, July 10th: Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Education 
Friday, July 17th: Human Kinetics, Business and General (All faculties)
Friday, July 24th: Nursing and Engineering

Parking is available for free to Head Start attendees. The parking lot is located behind the Centre for Engineering and Innovation, close to the intersection of Wyandotte Street and California Avenue.

Check-in will be from 9:00am-9:30am in the Toldo Health Education Building.

Students will receive their prize ballots, tour wristband and be able to sign the graduation banner and snap some photos at the photobooth!

Can my parents or supporters attend?

Yes! Parents, family members, and supporters are encouraged to attend and participate in dedicated sessions throughout the day.

What if I cannot attend my faculty date?

Students should attend their faculty-specific date whenever possible. If you cannot attend, you may register for our General Head Start day.

Do I need to attend all afternoon activities?

No. Following lunch, you may choose which activities, support sessions, and campus spaces you would like to explore.

Can I attend more than one afternoon activity?

Absolutely! Many campus spaces and support areas remain open throughout the afternoon.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended.

Is lunch provided?

Yes. A complimentary BBQ lunch is provided for all registered participants.
