Contract period: August 2023 to April 2024
Our Residence Life Team consists of Residence Assistants, Community Assistants, Peer Leaders, Desk Assistants and Student Conduct Board Coordinator. We are currently recruiting for a Community Assistant Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Advocacy, all other positions have been filled at this time. The CAs & RAs are responsible for community development, social/educational programming, referrals, policy enforcement and the overall wellbeing of the residents. Becoming a CA or RA is a great way to build your leadership skills and provides you with the opportunity to develop transferable skills such as:
- Teamwork
- Communication
- Conflict resolution & mediation
- Emergency intervention and response
- Problem solving
RAs also receive training and certification in the following:
- Safe Talk Certification
- Diversity & Intercultural training
- LGTBQ+ awareness and education
- Responding to Sexual Misconduct Disclosures training
- Leadership development
