Students arriving to move into residence after their summer term move in date must submit a late arrival request form here
A confirmation email will be sent to students requesting to move-in after their move in date letting them know if their request has been approved.
Housing Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm EST, Monday through Friday (Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday). If you are arriving to move into Residence any other day/time, you will need to submit and be approved for a late arrival request or find alternate accommodations until the Residence Office re-opens.
This form is used if you want to cancel your residence room assignment before the scheduled move-in date. Please read the criteria below prior to completing this form to ensure you meet the requirements.
When you submitted your residence application you agreed to the terms of the Residence and Meal Plan Agreement. To be approved for a cancellation request you must meet one of the requirements listed below, as approved by Housing and Residence Life:
- An applicant may submit a request to cancel their residence application up until 5 days after receiving their room assignment, as per the Application Cancellation Policy
- Resident withdraws academically or is required to withdraw from the University. A Resident who has withdrawn and subsequently re-registers prior to the termination date of the agreement will be responsible for and will pay the full Residence amount owing to their termination date as per the Residence and Meal Plan Agreement - Early Terminination of Agreement section
- Resident is graduating, going on exchange, was in Canada for a Fall term exchange or has co-op placement outside of Windsor-Essex as per the Residence and Meal Plan Agreement - Early Termination of Agreement section
If you wish to cancel your residence room assignment before the scheduled move-in date, you must complete the Cancellation Request Form.
- To request an appeal, you must complete the Request for Appeal Form.
- If you are supported by a service animal, please visit the Student Accessibility Services website, to discuss the intake process for registering your service animal for accommodation.

- Complete the Withdrawal Form if you wish to withdraw from your residence room assignment.
When you are ready to move out, you MUST complete the self-check out process. To avoid additional charges, you MUST fully follow the instructions that will be provided when you are emailed confirmation that your withdrawal has been approved. Students should NOT move out of their room space until they have been emailed approval of their withdrawal request.
Coldex Fridge Rentals:
Students who have a fridge rental from Coldex and are leaving Residence early (approved to withdraw) are responsible for contacting Coldex directly to notify them that you are moving out early and will need to arrange for pick up of the fridge (students do not need to be present at the time of pick up, but are required to notify and arrange pick up with Coldex).
