Residence Move-In: Summer 2025

We are getting excited to welcome you to campus! 

The following information will help ensure your move-in goes as smoothly as possible and please reach out to resservices@uwindsor.ca if you have any additional questions or will need additional assistance for move in. 

  • Full Summer & Intersession:  Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 10am – 4pm
  • Summer 6 Week:  Sunday, June 22, 2025 - Hours TBD
  • Nursing Consolidation:
    • Year One: Sunday, May 25 – Hours TBD
    • Year Two: Thursday, May 8 – Hours TBD
    • Year Three: Tuesday, April 22– Hours TBD
  • Tech Studies - Inter/Summer:  Tuesday, July 1 – Hours TBD

Note:  Early arrivals are not permitted.

  • Check-in for Summer 2025 is at Cartier Hall (2750 Wyandotte Street).  Please refer to Move In Date section for dates and times
  • While you are checking in you can leave your car temporarily parked in the Vanier Circle, do not pay for parking for this temporary parking 
  • Once you have received your room keys you can start unloading your items; when finished, then move to your car to a designated parking lot 

Students who will be arriving after their scheduled move-in date will need to submit a Late Arrival Request Form.  To request a Late Arrival, complete the Late Arrival Request Form

 

Alumni, Cartier and Rodzik Halls you will need to bring:  Shower curtain and hooks 

These are some common items we recommend you consider bringing with you: 

  • Batteries
  • Chargers & Cords
  • Cleaning Supplies  
  • Computer / Laptop
  • Cooking supplies, ie. a pot, a pan, dishes, utensils
  • Damage-Free Adhesive 
  • Extension Cord / Power Bar
  • Hangers 
  • Headphones / Earbuds
  • Important Documents (School Letters, Health Card, Passport) 
  • Laundry Supplies 
  • Linens & Towels (see Residence Hall info page for bed size)
  • Medications 
  • Personal toiletry items, ie shampoo, soap, toothbrush, deodorant, etc.
  • Toilet paper (Cartier, Alumni, & Rodzik Halls)
  • Seasonal appropriate gear, ie. rain, sun, snow, etc.
  • School Supplies (Pens, Notebooks, Binders)
  • Small appliances (ex. coffee maker, toaster can be used in the kitchen/ kitchenettes in all buildings 
  • Water Bottle - Reusable

Alumni Hall Only:

  • Trivet (Silicone)
  • up to 3 small appliances (ex. kettle, air fryer)

This is what you will find in your room: 

  • Bed & Mattress 
  • Closet with Drawers or Armoire
  • Desk & Chair 
  • Window Shades
  • Waste Basket / Recycle Bin
  • Alumni Hall - (Apartment size fridge)

We want you to make your new space feel like home but you are not allowed the following items: 

  • Candles / Incense 
  • Furniture
  • Halogen Lamp
  • Illegal Items 
  • Individual Glass Alcohol Bottles 
  • Large Appliances (including mini-fridge)Mini-Fridge 
  • Scotch Tape
  • LED Light strips / tape
