Residence Move-In: Winter 2025

We are getting excited to welcome you to campus! 

The following information will help ensure your move-in goes as smoothly as possible and please reach out to resservices@uwindsor.ca if you have any additional questions or will need additional assistance for move in. Please note the Housing & Residence Life Office will be closed December 21, 2025 - January 2, 2025.

You must schedule your check-in day & time using the move in scheduling system.

Regular move in dates include: 

  • Sunday, January 5 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm 
  • Monday, January 6 to Friday, January 10 from 10:00am - 3:30pm 

If you are unable to arrive during these days and times, please email resservices@uwindsor.ca.  

  • You will schedule a move-in time using the scheduling system  
  • Check-in for all residents is in the main Residence office located in Vanier Hall, room 49 
  • While you are checking in you can leave your car temporarily parked in the Vanier Circle, do not pay for parking for this temporary parking 
  • Have a phone with data ready and charged as you will be required to use it for check in 
  • Once you have received your keys you will be directed to your unloading location 
  • Make sure you arrive as close as possible to your scheduled time frame

Complete the Late Arrival Form which you can find on the residence portal. Please note that late arrivals must arrive during regular business hours.   

More instructions regarding your move-in process will be sent to you once you late arrival request is processed.

We want you to make your new space feel like home but you are not allowed the following items: 

  • Candles/Incense 
  • Furniture/Large Appliances (i.e., Exposed Elements) 
  • Halogen Lamps 
  • Illegal Items 
  • Individual Glass Alcohol Bottles 
  • Mini-Fridge 
  • Space Heaters 
  • Tape
